If your dog is sleeping with its head on their paws, You should know that position is Lion's pose and is also called Sphinx. Most of the energetic ones use this pose to have a little nap. 

This pose means, your dog is not in hard sleep but anytime ready to stand on its foot with sudden notice. These posers are protective and devoted. They also always stay in touch with little sounds around them.
